CIVIL LITIGATION / INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY/APPELLATE PRACTICE:
Mr. Valente’s practice primarily concentrates on civil litigation matters, including torts, professional liability issues, and intellectual property disputes. He has been involved in all aspects of litigation at both the trial court and appellate levels. Prior to joining Ryan Smith & Carbine, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Peter W. Hall of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, as Intellectual Property Law and Policy Counsel to the Intellectual Property Owners Association, and in private practice in Washington, D.C. He earned his law degree in 2001 from the University of Virginia, where he was an Executive Editor of the Virginia Journal of Social Policy and the Law.
