Product Liability, Transportation, Medical Malpractice, Toxic Tort and other Liability Claims
Mr. Laird concentrates his legal practice on the defense of product liability, transportation, medical malpractice, toxic tort and other liability claims. He defends various product manufacturers, transportation companies, and commercial carriers. Mr. Laird has successfully defended lawsuits on behalf of physicians and hospitals in various medical specialties including obstetrics, cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, otolaryngology, orthopedics, gastroenterology, surgery, ophthalmology, and critical care, including representation before the State of New York Department of Health, Office of Professional Medical Conduct (OPMC).
For over 25 years, Mr. Laird has received the highest “AV” rating from Martindale Hubbell. He has been recognized for many successive years as a “Best Lawyer in America” (Product Liability Defense, Medical Malpractice Defense, Personal Injury and Commercial Litigation) and as a “Super Lawyer” (Medical Malpractice Defense, Personal Injury and Commercial Litigation). He has lectured on trial practice, medical malpractice, product liability, and transportation litigation topics. He is admitted to practice in all courts in New York and in Vermont. His practice areas include Commercial Litigation, Transportation and Logistics, Professional Liability, Product Liability, Tort Defense, Health Care Litigation, Appellate Advocacy, Aviation, Hospitality and Retail Liability, and Insurance Law.
