Associate Attorneys (Litigation and Corporate/Banking)

We are looking to fill two Associate Attorney positions: one with a focus on litigation and the other with a focus on corporate and banking law. Position 1: Associate Attorney (Litigation)
Job Description:
We are seeking an Associate Attorney with at least two years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have strong legal research, writing, and courtroom skills, as well as the ability to manage a caseload from inception to resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage litigation cases from start to finish
- Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
- Participate in depositions, mediations, and court appearances
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Assist in trial preparation and support senior attorneys during trial
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Vermont Bar (Required)
- Admission to the New York Bar (Preferred but not required)
- Minimum of two years of litigation experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines
Position 2: Associate Attorney (Corporate/Transactions/Real Estate Law)
Job Description:
We are also seeking an Associate Attorney with at least two years of experience in corporate, transactions, and real estate law. The ideal candidate will have expertise in transactional law, including contract drafting and negotiation, mergers and acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and negotiate contracts, loan documents, and other corporate legal instruments
- Advise clients on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory matters
- Assist in structuring and closing business transactions
- Provide legal counsel to financial institutions on loans and related banking issues
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Vermont Bar (Required)
- Admission to the New York Bar (Preferred but not required)
- Minimum of two years of corporate and banking law experience
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and meet deadlines
